Tom Pidcock Takes Under-23 Ranks By Storm

Junior cyclo-cross world champion Tom Pidcock fired a warning shot to his rivals for the under-23 World Championship in January by racking up two wins in only his second weekend competing at under-23 level last weekend.

He won the Sport Vlaanderen SuperPrestige in Boom, Belgium on Saturday and backed it up with victory in Team GB kit at the inaugural under-23 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup race in Koksijde, Belgium on Sunday.

The results were even more impressive given both courses featured a lot of sand, which Pidcock admitted was his weakest surface to race on.

The Otley rider said he spent much of last week training on it with his Telenet Fidea Lions sports director Kris Wouters.
