First time trials of the season cancelled

Storm Ciara blew away many riders’ hopes of an early racing outing, with Sunday’s wind and rain leading to the cancellation of road races and time trials across the UK.
The Perfs Pedal Race in Hampshire led the way with an early cancellation on Thursday, while the Kingston Wheelers sporting 13.6-mile time trial in Surrey followed suit on Friday and the Ely and District CC 25 in Cambridgeshire was called off early on Sunday morning.
