WHILE PHOTOJOURNALISM, STREET PHOTOGRAPHY AND DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY ARE INNATELY COHERENT TO EACH OTHER, IT IS THE NEWSWORTHINESS THAT MAKES PHOTOJOURNALISM DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GENRES. THE GOAL OF A PHOTOJOURNALIST IS TO CAPTURE A MOMENT THE WAY IT IS WITHOUT ADDING WORDS TO IT. PHOTOJOURNALISM MAY LOOK LIKE A NEEDFUL MATERIAL THESE DAYS. PHOTOJOURNALISM MEANS A LOT MORE THAN BEING IN THE RIGHT SPOT AT THE RIGHT TIME. AND IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BECOME ONE THEN THESE TIPS WILL HELP YOU TO IMPROVE.

Tips on being a good Photojournalist

Planning

The most crucial thing to show your work as photojournalist is planning. Whether this is planning your time, equipment or the things that you need to capture. if you aren’t aware of these things then you might end up losing crucial time and moments to capture. Photojournalism is not only about capturing unexpected events, but also capturing unexpected moments at planned events. and as a photojournalist, if you are not working for some newspaper or magazine, then you need to give some assignments to yourself and plan ahead of time about what you are going to do in coming days. always look for the events happening in your city and if you think that it can help you with great content then go for it. Pay close attentions on what’s happening there and think about what is more important and needs to be captured.
