PLYMOUTH hospitality and leisure businesses affected by the Omicron variant will be able to apply for grants of up to £6,000 from next week.
Plymouth City Council has now received guidance from the Government about the one-off payments provided under the Omicron Hospitality and Leisure Grant scheme.
Plymouth City Centre Company and Destination Plymouth have both called for businesses to come forward and apply for the cash, from the week starting January 10, 2022.
The City Centre Company said: “Council officers are working through the guidance and hope to have the scheme open for applications early next week. We will be working closely with the council to get these payments out to affected businesses as soon as possible.”
More details of the scheme and how to apply will be revealed via the Plymouth City Council and Invest Plymouth channels.
