A FORMER show-jumper has switched to a different kind of horsepower by becoming a speedway rider.
Motorcycle sport has always been a favourite with Charlotte Brooks’s family, but it was her passion for horses that originally led the way.
But since June, Charlotte, from Plympton, has been speedway racing, and next year she aims to take part in the British Ladies’ Championships on the Isle of Wight.
“I show jumped all over the UK nationally, but I’ve put horses on hold for a year to see where this takes me because if I’m ready for the championship, I will be spending all my weekends racing,” she said.
