Our Heritage Club Blueprint remains firmly in place. It is a sound and solid plan for the future of elite level rugby in the Ocean City. In truth, it is a simple equation: play within the limits of your sustainable budget or mortgage and build a future on the hopes and dreams of bringing in players with the quality and experience you think will deliver instant wins on the field of play.
Rugby has been a major part of my life for over a quarter of a century. I know it intimately, both as an elite level player and as an executive member of a successful Premiership and European Cup-winning club corporate business team. I know the game well, and I believe I have the knowledge and experience to make the right calls, and know what to do in building sustainable success at club level.
With the winds of change blowing down the corridors of rugby’s power brokers, the future success of Plymouth Albion remains firmly within our control. As ever, we have choices to make: hold firm to our plan or throw the dice and gamble on an uncertain future by buying in proven talent to give us a winning edge better than the played 10, won 3, lost 7 that currently puts Albion 13th in a 15-club league.
