A head of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Guwahati, Assam on February 3 and 4, Assam Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah announced that the Prime Minister is set to inaugurate several development projects worth over Rs 11,000 crore during his visit.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Guwahati on 3 February evening. On 4 February, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for various development projects and inaugurate projects worth more than Rs 11,000 crore,” said Baruah.
“PM Modi will also address a mega public rally at Veterinary College Field, Khanapara, in Guwahati on 4 February. Today’s Assam cabinet also had a discussion about the Prime Minister’s visit,” he added.
The Assam Tourism Minister also spoke to the media about the Assam Tourism (Development and Registration) Bill 2024, which was approved by the Assam Cabinet during the assembly session on Wednesday in order to regulate the tourism sector.
