Covid-19 PCR Test Must Once A Week For Government Staff

Employees who have completed 28 days after receiving the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, will have to conduct the PCR test once a month

The Human Resources Authority- Abu Dhabi has updated its protocol regarding COVID-19 PCR tests for employees of government entities and companies, stressing its importance to preserve the human resources, business continuity, and services in the HR system.

The Authority said, “All employees or individuals present at the workplace, who have not taken the vaccine or those who received the second dose of COVID-19 vaccine and did not complete 28 days and also those who are exempted from receiving the vaccine based on a medical report must conduct COVID-19 PCR test every 7 days.”

“The employees bear the costs of the test,” the HRA confirmed.

Employees who have completed 28 days after receiving the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, will have to conduct the COVID-19 PCR test once a month, the Authority said, noting that the employees will bear the costs of the test.

It also explained that the employees who have active icons (gold star or letter E) on Al Hosn App are exempt from the examination. Those employees were vaccinated within the national vaccination program, along with the volunteers in clinical trials of COVID-19 vaccines, the Authority added.
