Tshimanga, who had an unhappy loan spell at Yeovil in 2016/17 in which he failed to make a match day squad, struck from the edge of the box to rescue a point for Luke Garrard’s gallant visitors, taking his goal tally for the season to 11.

The Glovers took the lead in the seventh minute through Jimmy Smith’s fifth goal since joining the club on loan from Crawley in September when he volleyed home Chris Dagnall’s cross.

The home side were by far the stronger of the two teams and had the ball in the net four minutes later but was ruled out for a foul on visiting goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore.

But back came Wood and they came close to levelling just before the break but midfielder Sorba Thomas fired an effort over the crossbar.
