WREXHAM have given their fans little to cheer this campaign but they served up a couple of Christmas crackers to sink Solihull Moors in their last home match before the festive season.

Omari Patrick and James Jennings were on target in a superb first half for the Dragons, who staged a confident rearguard action to climb out of the bottom four and delight manager Dean Keates.

“We got what we deserved today,” he said. “We soaked up a tremendous amount of pressure and I can’t give the players enough credit.

“Our keeper was a mere spectator and he came and collected crosses. In the first we were superb, our movement was great and they were a couple of great goals.”
