Diaper was furious that Quelch awarded the Gulls a 43rd-minute penalty which was ultimately tucked away by Asa Hall.
That gave the National League high-fliers the incentive to kick on with a fine 40yard chip from Josh Umerah sealing their place in the first round with a killer second goal on 71 minutes.
But Diaper was left baffled by the decision which cost his side.
“I’m really disappointed. The performance was good enough but I think the referee’s decision was quite crucial,” he said.
