Rafael and its strategic partners are constantly working towards reaching understanding to allow for knowledge share and transfer of technology to India and other countries, says GIORA KATZ, EVP Marketing and Business Development, Rafael, in conversation with Geopolitics

Please elaborate on Rafael's Python and Derby missiles in India and future opportunities.
Python 5 and Derby are in service in the IAF as part of the SPYDER LLQRM programme and as air-to-air missiles on the LCA. They will be part of future air-to-air and air defence programmes in the Air Force and the Army.
Can the Python and Derby be integrated on aircraft such as the Rafael and can these missiles also be integrated on the Hawk AJTs and Su-30 MKI?
Both missiles can potentially be integrated on LCA, HAWK, Su-30 or any other combat A/C in the IAF.
Is Rafael prepared to offer missile seeker, warhead and propulsion technology when it comes to IR and BVR missiles and what parts of these can be supplied under ToT contracts for India?
Rafael and its strategic partners are constantly working towards reaching understandings to allow for knowledge share and transfer of technology.
Please provide an update on the Spyder air defence system for the IAF.

But sensible and easy steps can be taken, especially in the maritime sphere, to integrate the Coast Guard, Air Force, and Navy into a potent force to safeguard the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, argues AMIT GUPTA
