McCusker Family Appeal For The Community's Support

A HEAD of this week-end’s events to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Maghera man, Fergal McCusker, his family has appealed to the local community for its support.

In the early hours of January 18, 1998, 28 year-old Fergal McCusker was making his way home after a night out socialising with his friends in Maghera.

Tragically, Fergal never made it home. Instead he was abducted from Main Street and shot dead by Loyalist gunmen and his body dumped behind the Fairhill Youth Club.

The McCusker family have been repeatedly denied their right to a full and open inquest into Fergal’s murder.

Now, on the 20th anniversary of Fergal’s death, his family are renewing their call for justice.
