Sam Mendes – who is best known for his work on the James Bond films Spectre and Skyfall and the Oscar-winning drama American Beauty – is turning his attention to a new play.
Mendes started his career in the theatre, and by the age of 25 he was the artistic director of the Donmar Warehouse in Covent Garden, directing a series of classic revivals including Cabaret and The Glass Menagerie.
