It’s that phase in Bollywood when our actors are branching out and trying their hand at world cinema, but for FRIEDA PINTO, this isn’t new. She has been there, done that, and how! She started her career almost a decade ago and has been part of some of noteworthy films like Immortals and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In a candid conversation with Shravan Shah, Frieda talks about Hollywood, Bollywood, and everything in between.

You’ve reached a point in your career where a lot of Bollywood actresses would want to be. They’re auditioning and trying to make inroads in Hollywood. At any point, has anyone picked up the phone and called you for advice?

No, that has not happened, and I don’t feel it’s very important. What happened to me may not necessarily be someone else’s path, and what happens to them, may not be the next person’s path. A career is always fickle, because you can never put a method, theory, or a technique to make it. It is a combination of talent, creativity, hard-work, and a little bit of being at the right place, at the right time as well. So, I feel there can’t be one formula. Everybody has their own approach, sensibility and passion which they should chase.
