Playing The Pressure Game

Callum McGregor was delighted as Celtic negotiated another high-profile semi-final.

CELTIC progressed to the League Cup final with an emphatic 3-0 win over Hearts at Murrayfield on Sunday. Callum McGregor played an integral part in the stellar performance and the midfielder believes the current run of form points to the character and determination of the squad.
After starting the game in a wide left role, McGregor moved inside when Scott Sinclair replaced the injured Eboue Kouassi. From the centre of the pitch, the industrious midfielder worked tirelessly in both defence and attack.
Speaking to the Celtic View after the game, McGregor said reaching the final is a great achievement, and improves the team’s focus at this stage in the campaign.
“It gives us a focus point to go towards,” he said. “Obviously, in a semi-final, the job is to get to the final and you keep in the back of your mind that you’re building up to that as well. It’s great for us.
