Distinguished by its fascinating baguette shape, Corum’s Golden Bridge movement is undoubtedly the watchmaker’s most cherished icon. Developed in collaboration with renowned Italian watchmaker Vincent Calabrese, the unique linear movement made its grand unveiling in 1980 at Basel Fair. The intricately engraved gold movement featured a linear gear train and was ensconced in a faceted sapphire crystal case that allowed for an unobstructed view. Regarded as a fine example of contemporary watchmaking, it captivated fans of Haute Horlogerie at a time when its values were threatened by the quartz crisis.
