Where Do You Take The Girl Who's Been Everywhere?

As a surfing sports ambassador, Californian Paige Maddison pretty much has free reign to travel where she wants—and that’s exactly what she has done for the past three years: solo exploring more countries than most of us can probably locate on a map. This summer she decided to check out North America and is currently road tripping in a custom-fitted van, longboard in tow, brightening lineups from Tofino to San Juanico.
The problem, of course, is that she’s already seen most of what the world has to offer, so you’d better have someplace really special up your sleeve if you want to catch her eye. Fortunately, I’d been scheming for years to strike one of the most beautiful and inaccessible beaches on the west coast. All I needed was an excuse to go—or better yet, a gung-ho girl to take with me.
