If cleanliness is your number one priority, the DEEBOT T9 won’t disappoint. Equipped with various brushes and a separate water dispenser, it mops and vacuums the floor simultaneously for that extra thorough clean. What we found especially nifty is the DEEBOT’s smart use of water, utilising just the right amount to get the house clean without leaving the floor wet and slippery. This also means that you won’t have to refill the water quite so often! Once you’re done mopping, switch out the water dispenser with the included air freshener for a round of scenting.

Of course, a crucial function of any robotic vacuum cleaner is the ability to map and navigate its surroundings. This model made its way through various rooms with ease, recognising and avoiding obstacles while still reaching all of the nooks and crannies thanks to precise movements. When we checked the ECOVACS HOME app after the vacuum’s first exploration, we found a fascinating map of the entire layout. We could then go back and select areas large or small for targeted cleaning, a feature we found particularly exciting.

The extensive battery life of the DEEBOT T9 allowed us to vacuum and mop for a few hours without any rush. If you want to interrupt the cleaning process at any point, just select “return to charge” on the app and the vacuum will make its way back to the charging station automatically. Overall, a time-saving and well-designed home appliance to have if you don’t mind the hefty $1,099 price tag!
