With a large enough estate and an architect husband Mahesh, for Latha, a collector of 8000 and counting different bells from all over the world—all of this resulted in the first bell museum springing in their backyard in Kerala.

Ring a bell?

When Latha picked up her first bell on one of her travels — a traditional pooja bell — as a souvenir from a local antique shop , little did she think that around three decades later, she would actually be curating an entire museum full of bells from across the globe! Established in 2019, the unique private museum today boasts of a rare collection of more than 8000 bells from across 85 countries, mostly carried back to India as personal baggage by Latha and her architect husband N. Mahesh during their many travels.
