Flexform

The Flexform story can be best described as one of those filial tales that weave generations of a family with threads of tradition and craftsmanship to create an unmatched fabric of effortless contemporary style.

It all started in 1959 when the three Gilamberti brothers Romeo, Pierto and Agostino, put together skills learnt from their decorator father to set up their furniture workshop in Brianza in northern Italy and named it ‘Flexform di Galimberti’. They manufactured sofas and armchairs using locally available wood, upholstery and metal, and catered mostly to the post-war gentry around their little town. When the sons took the reins from their fathers, less than a decade later, the small business took the shape of a full-fledged joint-stock company.
