Colour, style and texture connect spaces. Even though each room has its individual purpose and variations, there should be a flow of colour and texture. I used to plan interiors room by room, but now I like to plan the whole overall feel of a home.

You can go too far with colour! I once thought it was a good idea to paint a wall in the bathroom of my first flat bubblegum pink – it wasn’t my finest moment, but at least it brought a pop of colour and fun to the windowless room!
