Can you describe the project? 

This is a guest en suite in a five-bedroom period property in London. Like many older homes, the number of bathrooms didn’t meet modern needs, so a top-storey bedroom was sacrificed to create space.

How did you approach the brief? 

The clients wanted a freestanding bath and walk-in shower, with the end goal being a light and airy space imbued with timeless elegance. To this end, the choice of materials was key. Carrara marble with a polished finish brightens the walls, adding subtle pattern, while plain Thassos marble floor tiles serve to make the room feel bigger.
