Designed by Sameep Padora and Associates, the Maya Somaiya Library optimises the narrow strip of land on which it sits and provides natural insulation against the sun.

A place inside for study and a place above for play. This encapsulates the spirit of the Maya Somaiya Library. It swells like a gently sloping sand dune on the sliver of land between older buildings and the school boundary. It almost feels like you are taking a stroll over the undulating land rising and falling into a langourous hillock. The Maya Somaiya Library invites you to leisurely browse their collection or grab a book and walk over the enticing stretch of the smooth roof.
