Q Congratulations on your 10-year anniversary at Today – how does that feel? 

On May 28 it was 10 years that I’ve been with the show. Who knew a decade could fly by so quickly?! Every show passes by so fast that I’ve never looked at the clock.

This is a job that I never had in my sights, but I just love breakfast television. It’s the most heady mix of live TV, the adrenalin that comes from doing that, and getting fresh news from around the world every day.

I work with a fantastic team, and have the opportunity to interview fascinating people. It’s challenging and I still learn something new every day – I love it.

Q What do you think about ageing and career success? 

I have never seen age as a barrier to anything I’ve done, and I have been fortunate that my age has counted on my side.
