“The Terno is making a comeback, which makes me happy,” Rocio Olbes-Ressano says, clearly excited that the local fashion scene is putting one of her favorites back in the spotlight, where it belongs. “I would like to have more ternos, and I would actually like my own Barong Tagalog.” With age comes wisdom, and this rings especially true for Rocio, who says that the older she gets, the more she defines her own aesthetic. In describing her style, she admits, “More than anything, I prefer to be relaxed and comfortable rather than glamorous. But if I had to sum it up, I most likely would say a mix of contemporary and classic.”
