It's A Catch-Up With Shubman Gill

At 27, I hopefully want to have two World Cup trophies.

It's 1:23pm on a Wednesday...I'm all geared up to attend the unveiling of G-SHOCK's latest campaign Rise Above the Shocks' and meet the newly appointed brand ambassador Shubman Gill.

While I wait for the cricketing genius, his manager in utter frenzy-lets me know that the 24-year-old is getting his hair done and it would take him a couple more minutes to get started.

I sink back in my seat, and that's when my attention goes to two girls-barely sixteen or seventeen-sitting to my left and giggling frantically as they chit-chat. I just put two and two together and realise that they're here to get photographed with the young cricketer. Later, I noticed the Indian cricket jerseys in their hands....signed by Shubman.

After talking to the girls, I learnt that, on realising the dynamic talent would get busy with the upcoming T20 World Cup, they decided to come all the way from Mumbai to Delhi to meet him. Makes sense...Shubman's days have been chock-full between appearances, events, and cricket matches and I wondered if he had time for himself at all!
