While Nicole Kidman was busy making her first ever appearance at San Diego’s Comic-Con on July 21, her Big Little Lies co-stars were hanging out without her.

Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern were spotted having a girls’ dinner at Hollywood hotspot Craig’s, and insiders tell Woman’s Day the timing may not have been a coincidence. Those close to the Aussie star say the photos have left her crushed.

“It’s a slap in the face for Nicole to be left out in that way,” one friend explains. “They could have planned dinner for another night when she would be able to join them, but instead they did it when she was out of town.
