Charity thought she’d blown her chance of building a relationship with estranged son Ryan when she left him a drunken voicemail, telling him she wanted nothing more to do with him. But thanks to Irene – the retired midwife who’s raised Ryan as her own – she’s given a second chance to bond with the lad.

Unfortunately, even the best laid plans have a habit of going pear-shaped, and despite Charity’s good intentions, their meeting becomes a day to remember for all the wrong reasons.
