Lee Boyd Malvo was just 16 when he shot 21-year-old Keenya Cook in cold blood at the front door of her aunt’s house in Tacoma, Washington, in February 2002.

By October of that year, he’d gone on to kill 16 more people and wound 10 others in a violent shooting spree, along with his accomplice, 41-year-old Gulf War veteran John Muhammad.

Ten of their victims were killed with a sniper rifle in just 23 days in Washington, DC, leaving residents paralysed with fear by the terrifying wave of random shootings.
