BRAVE NEW WORLD

NEW: SCI-FI

Westworld Monday, Sky Atlantic HD, 9 pm

As critically acclaimed sci-fi drama Westworld returns for a much-anticipated third series on Sky Atlantic this week, a major change is afoot. Much of the season will take place outside the violent American Old West theme park populated by android ‘hosts’ and where wealthy guests pay to indulge their wildest fantasies.

The new series picks up in the aftermath of the hosts’ rebellions in season two. They are plotting to overthrow humanity, and their leader Dolores (played by Evan Rachel Wood) has now finally made it to the outside world of near-future Los Angeles, having escaped Westworld.

‘Dolores finally got what she wanted, so we wanted to see how she interacts with the world and what her plan might be,’ says showrunnner Lisa Joy.

But Dolores’ vengeful feelings towards mankind soon become complicated when she meets Caleb (Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul), a construction worker and part-time criminal. Spending time with him makes her realise that not all humans are like the ones who used and abused her back in Westworld.
