Designs On Paradise

If Lucy Tattersall’s neighbours have been puzzled about what she’s been up to in her back garden, they would probably never have guessed the truth. Had they seen her moving pieces of wood around then wandering round them and standing back thoughtfully, the chances are they would have assumed she was planning to re-arrange her patio or build a raised flower bed.

It’s unlikely they would have thought she was planning the interior of a £4.9million villa at an exclusive resort in Barbados.

‘My whole house could just about fit in the kitchen of the villa, so there isn’t room for me to plan it inside when I’m at home,’ she said. ‘The neighbours must think I’m nuts but I need to be able to visualise how it will look so I put the wood down to represent the sofas and then I can check there’s enough room to walk around them.’

Lucy was commissioned to style the interior furnishings and décor of the new villa at the luxury Royal Westmoreland Barbados resort and she has made sure that all the internal furnishings and décor in the four-bedroom villa have been sourced from Lancashire-based suppliers.
