A beautiful game but with some flaws

The Pathless was a headline title when Apple announced its game subscription service Apple Arcade, and it is easy to see why. Like many of the offerings in Apple Arcade, it is visually arresting, with a gorgeously crafted game world and a standout aesthetic style. But it is not quite the showstopper that many hoped it would be.

You are the Hunter, seeking to defeat the evil Godslayer who has the world in the grip of a dark curse. Using your archery skills and eagle companion, you need to solve puzzles dotted throughout the open world, thus freeing the old gods from the curse and weakening the Godslayer.
