Mulalo and Teboho (Sydney Ramakue-la and Diteboho Molise) thought they could scam their way to the throne and they silenced Mpfareni (Mpho Luula), the only person who knew of their plot, in April 2021. What they didn’t realise was that Mpfareni’s widower Vhangani (Kingsley Ramabulana) would lead a determined search for his wife’s killers. “If anything happens to someone you love, you can’t rest until you know the truth,” explains Kingsley. “It’s difficult for Vhangani to just let things be, because he loved his wife.” While viewers know that Mulalo and Teboho poisoned Mpfareni when she tried to blackmail them over their DNA scam, Vhangani is still searching for answers – and they’re in front of his face.

IN SEARCH OF A KILLER

Vhangani loved his wife and believed her every word. So when she magically had money to fund their IVF pregnancy dreams, he believed her claims that she won it gambling. “Like every marriage, there are secrets and they didn’t tell each other everything,” says Kingsley, whose character didn’t know that his wife had helped Mulalo and Teboho hide their son so that Mulalo could be anointed as chief of Thathe.
