Jack is on the verge of finding his mom, but Tshidi has plans to make sure the two never meet.

It’s been a true Januworry for usually unshakable crook Jack Mabaso (VusiKunene) as he searches for spiritual freedom. Jack was recently told in no uncertain terms that his bad luck – in terms of his health and business – stemmed from unresolved childhood trauma. More specifically, separation from his biological family as an infant. Now, barely a month later, Jack is on a mission to find his mother Baxolile (Linky Morobi) and make amends with the past. But his baby mama Tshidi (Letoya Makhene) has other plans…

NO BRO CODE

By now, we know that Tshidi’s son is dead. And while Jack isn’t convinced that his heir is gone, Tshidi has plans to make him come to the tragic realization in a violent fashion. “She blames Jack for the death of her son,” Letoya reminds us. “She wants to see Jack suffer. There is nothing she won’t do.”

Enter Siyanda (Kay Sibiya, Ayanda in Uzalo, 2015-now, see p24) – Jack’s investigative journalist biological brother. The men aren’t yet aware of their connection, which is perfect for Tshidi, because she does know that they’re blood. Letoya reveals, “She searched into Jack’s past and found SIyanda. She brought him to Joburg solely to destroy Jack. She hires Siyanda at #Ezweni. He wants to expose corruption and thrives on bringing men like Jack down.”
