POSING on the red carpet at last month’s Governors Awards, Meg Ryan stunned in a sleeveless black and blue dress with Yvan Tufenkjian bracelets hanging from her wrists. But though the actress was among the best dressed at the Oct. 27 event, there was one piece of jewelry missing from her ensemble — her engagement ring from rocker John Mellencamp.
It was confirmed later that week that the pair had ended their yearlong engagement. However, the 58-year- old stepped out earlier this month to run errands with a rock back on her left-hand ring finger. When it comes to what she truly wants after eight years of dating the musician, Meg is having trouble making up her mind. “Right now things are pretty raw,” a source tells Star, “and she’s feeling very vulnerable” being newly single. Her heart is breaking, adds the insider, “but she’s trying to remain positive about the future.”
