TIGIRLILY DISHES ABOUT Y&R APPEARANCE

On July 22, the country singing duo Tigirlily, which consists of sisters Kendra and Krista Slaubaugh, made their soap debut on Y&R playing themselves. “We signed with Monument Records a few months back, which is a division of Sony, and they said, ‘We have this idea of a cameo appearance of y’all on YOUNG AND RESTLESS. Are you okay with that?’ ” Kendra explains. “We said sure even though we’ve never done any acting. We’ve just been in music videos, but we thought that it would be so awesome. Plus we’ve never been to L.A. before, so we thought YOUNG AND RESTLESS was a great reason to go.”

Krista adds, “A couple of weeks later, we followed up, ‘Do we have the role?’ They said, ‘Yep, it’s next week,’ and we were like, ‘We’re going to L.A.!’ We had the greatest first experience there. We stayed at a beautiful hotel and we did a bunch of touristy stuff like hiked Runyon Canyon, got sushi and went to the Santa Monica Pier. The highlight was going onto the CBS lot and meeting the cast of YOUNG AND RESTLESS.”
