The Superstar Talks Motherhood, Fitness And Her New Movie, Second Act.

From music and movies to fashion and TV, Jennifer Lopez has built an empire over the course of her almost 30-year career. But she admits it wasn’t easy. “I [came] from nothing. I grew up in the Bronx [and] didn’t have much of an education. I had no entry point to the industry, I knew nobody,” recalls Jennifer, 49. “But I worked harder than anybody else — and I didn’t stop. I’m living proof [that] it can be done!” As she gears up for the premiere of her highly anticipated rom-com, Second Act (in theaters Dec. 14), Jennifer gets candid about her life offscreen, being a mom to her 10-year-old twins, Max and Emme, and the secret to her incredible success.

Your BFF Leah Remini plays your onscreen BFF in Second Act. What was it like to work with her?

It was super easy. We pretty much drew from our own personalities and put them into the movie.
