The star is desperate to save his marriage to Amal Clooney after a series of arguments.

George Clooney has always been one to tell it like it is. “You don’t want me to be a godparent of anybody,” he recently replied when asked if his close pals Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan chose him to be their son Archie’s godfather. “I’m barely a parent at this point — it’s so hard. It’s frightening.”

Fans laughed his comments off. But wife Amal was furious. “Lately, George keeps talking publicly about how bad he is at parenting [twins Ella and Alexander, 23 months], and Amal finds it incredibly childish. She’s told him to stop and he won’t,” shares a source, adding that it’s led to several fights. “It’s no secret that they’ve been going through a rough patch. Now this whole mess has made things even worse.”
