The son of Anil and Nisha Jain, Athang Jain is the eldest scion of Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd of Jalgaon (which was founded by his grandfather Bhavarlal Jain), while Ambika Bohra is the daughter of Rohit and Shivani Bohra of Jaipur.
