Power Of The Collective

Collaboration is not just a science; it is an art.
“The best leaders are apt to be found among those executives who have a strong component of unorthodoxy in their character. Instead of resisting innovation, they symbolise it.”
Although these words were uttered by a grand czar of advertising, it rightly applies to every industry when it comes to managing and leading a large team. It is not as simple as inculcating ownership and responsibility to encourage each team member to be a leader in his or her own right. It is more than that.
You need to connect to each and every team member to lead effectively
Your actions speak louder than words and will create a lasting impact
Once you are clear on what values matter to you, it will reflect on your team’s performance
Attitude is the bedrock of a team that consistently achieves, so make sure it encompasses strategy more than positive thinking
A broad framework to start with, I agree. But let us begin with what it takes to lead a small team to achieve maximum efficiency. An example of this is to take a leaf from Bill Bernbach’s book A History of Advertising That Changed the History of Advertising. He was one of the three founders of the acclaimed international advertising agency Doyle Dane Bernbach. His strategy on restructuring creative teams made a lasting impact on how creative team structures are built even today.

In a world continually reshaped by geopolitical volatility, technological progress, and rapid disruption, resilient communication is a foundational capability, one of the most crucial that an organisation can develop. The days when criticism was the domain of a few peculiar individuals are long gone. It is an ever-present part of modern life, largely due to social media. With easy access to technology and widespread platforms for feedback, anyone can now become a critic—even on topics that have no direct bearing on their own lives.

Rethink your brand playbook
Are you tired of trying to convince people that your brand, product, or service is for them? It is frustrating when marketing does not seem to be working as well as you'd hope. When you wish more people knew how great your offering is and feel compelled to bring it into their life.
