New headquarters for Argo Tractors

A groundbreaking ceremony in Kempton Park saw Argo Tractors begin work on its new, state-of-the-art facility designed to optimise the company’s offering to its Southern African clients. Magda du Toit reports.

Argo Tractors, which includes the legendary brands Landini and McCormick, is one of the world’s leading tractor manufacturers. With its roots in the specialist vineyard, orchard and vegetable sectors, the company has become equally well known amongst row-crop producers.

Argo, which has a long history in Southern Africa, is currently in the process of building a new headquarters and assembly facility in Pomona, Kempton Park, alongside the R21 between OR Tambo International Airport and Pretoria. The groundwork started on 1 June this year and the facility is due to be opened in March/April 2022.

Crucially, the location is easily accessible from many of the grain and fruit production areas in the northern part of the country.
