How Intelligent Automation Will Evolve: 8 Predictions

The pandemic has acted as the force behind widespread digital transformations, many of which are propelling industries into the future. As industries are racing to adopt digital workplaces, there hasbeen an uptick in the use of Intelligent Automation (IA) to equip and sustain such digital business processes.

The spotlight is on enhancing customer satisfaction and improving the success of businesses, both in terms of financial as well as non-financial ROI. To become a part of this revolution, organisations need a roadmap that will enable them to adopt the trends likely to mark the shift to IA.

EFFECTIVE USE OF IA

IA has the potential to catapult the Indian economy to USD 5 trillion by 2024-25, according to a study by Automation Anywhere. Each time an organisation simplifies and optimises an existing business process, there’s great scope for IA to make it more seamless and effective.

In the Indian business landscape, industries in the IT/ITES, BFSI, manufacturing, and education sectors are already ahead of their peers in terms of automating applications. With around 63% of the IT/ITES industries relying on machine learning (ML), it is the most sought-after automation tool in this sector. Around 44% businesses in the BFSI sector consider robotics, ML and automated data analysis as the golden trifecta that enables seamless automation and delivers expected results, according to a PwC survey.
