Exciting, Enduring & Exhaustive: Pm Modi's Use Of Technology

It is often said that leaders campaign in poetry and govern in prose. This has been proven completely wrong, in PM Narendra Modi’s case. If his campaign gave a glimpse into what India can become, his governance is heralding India towards a New India. Same can be said for this use of technology. While his campaigns saw the use of Google Hangouts, 3D Technology among other mediums, 3.5 years of his Governance has seen an intrepid deployment of technology in various areas.

PIONEER IN TECH USAGE

The fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a pioneer in the usage of technology is well-known. However, what remains under-explored and under-explained is how his innovative use of technology is bringing about a gigantic transformation in the way Indian Government works. This is not only bringing about a huge improvement in public service delivery but also changing the basic tenets of citizen engagement by the Government.

The Narendra Modi Government has set a new standard of citizen engagement, not only in India but globally. Technology is being used as a means of empowerment for even the last man in the queue. Be it use of simple social media, or a robust institutional platform of MyGov, be it rapid grievance redressal through work-flow management in CPGRAMS to PRAGATI where PM Modi himself intervenes to kick-start long-pending projects, the multi-dimensional and multi-faceted use of technology is improving lives all around. PM Modi is aggressively pushing ministries to use GIS for mapping their resources & public service delivery infrastructure. India’s NAVIC navigation satellite is also a stellar example of how as a nation we are progressing in the use and deployment of technology.
