To understand ‘best practices that are changing the commercial office landscape across the country’, AFC Furniture Solutions associated with Commercial Design for “The Future of Workspaces in India” forum. About 300 architects, projects heads, consultants and facility managers from across NCR gathered at the Shangri-La Hotel in New Delhi last month for an evening full of knowledge sharing and networking.

Rashmi Naicker, editor of Commercial Design, opened the forum by welcoming delegates, speakers and guests. She invited TEDx speaker, psychologist and happiness consultant Dr Kanan Khatau for a special address on ‘building spaces that are emotionally safe’. Khatau delivered facts about mental health and employee productivity, while suggesting measures and practices to ensure improved office environments. “Creating emotional safety at workspaces starts preventively. Architects take elements of mental health into design. We recommend Plan ‘Be’ which encourages people to be emotionally fit, digitally independent and energetic, resulting in better human connect, expression and focus.”
