According to a recent travel report by KAYAK, Abu Dhabi is among the trending international destinations for Indian travellers. One of the primary reasons being great flight connectivity and easy visa procedures.
The UAE offers two types of transit visas — one for 48 hours which is free of charge, and another for 96 hours for 946 only. These transit visas are only sponsored by the UAE-based airlines, and are not extendable.
That said, the city packs quite a punch in terms of heritage, culture, glamour and natural beauty. From historic architecture to pristine beaches and entertainment venues — Abu Dhabi has something for every kind of traveller.
Here are a few experiences to look forward to if you are on a short transit to the emirate.
AFTERNOON BY YAS BEACH
Surrounded by thick mangroves, Yas beach is fast picking up as a key entertainment spot on Yas island. The beach is packed with restaurants and bars serving an extensive selection of Arabic and global cuisine. There are food kiosks for fresh pizzas, local food and healthy smoothies among others. If you are looking to enjoy some privacy, book a chalet on the beach that comes with a sofa, padded chairs, minibar, a safe and restroom with an open shower.
Jet-sking (4,846 for 30 minutes), Double kayaking (1,609 for 30 minutes and flyboarding (6,625 for 30 minutes) are some of the adventure activities available on the beach.
