Nobody can argue with the fact that when it comes to delivering luxury and opulence, Mercedes is at the top of the table with their flagship S-class and it has now raised the bar even further with the sister brand Maybach. Mercedes stunned everyone with the launch of SLS AMG that they could even rival the likes of Porsche and Lamborghini when it came to supercars. It was the first time since 1990, when AMG became a part of Daimler and had been given a clean sheet to build an out and out supercar, they focused on delivering maximum driving pleasure yet retain the practicality of comfort associated with every Mercedes.

The styling of the AMG GT-R is of course inspired by the legendary 300 SL Gullwing, however, I doubt anyone would mistake the AMG GT-R for anything other than a brand new supercar from Mercedes-AMG.
