Danie found the 36 Chevy on a farm in Delmas Mpumalanga.
It had belonged to an old lady whose husband had passed away before he could start restoring the car. It had been laying under a tree a few centimeters in mud and also in pieces. You know when you see a car on social media and need to find out more about it and who owns it? Well, this 1956 Chevy Pickup 3200 is one of t ose car . We mana ed to track down the owner, Jimmy Johnson and asked him to tell us hi story. Jimmy lives in North Central Iowa and has been building cars like this since 1965. A short scroll through his Facebook page shows all of the amazing award winning cars and Pickups that he has built. His latest creation, named Super Short, is no exception.
2018/06/13 9Jimmy came across the body in the ‘80s and he decided to do a build which would be a radical street driven Hot Rod Pickup. However, he abandoned the project before it was finished. He came across a Corvette Chassis lying in a junkyard and only then did he decide to restart the project. The parts were scattered around and needed to be either utilized or thrown away.
