You can be assured that when Ferrari upgrades one of their existing model lines (upgrades are a rarity within Ferrari) you can expect something pretty special. Ferrari does not do half measures, so simple nip and tucks aren’t par for the course. What you do get is an immense number of changes, most of which you just can’t see, because they lie somewhere deep under the skin. So when I received an invitation to drive the Portofino M in Dubai, you can bet your last rupee I wasn’t refusing the invitation, pandemic be damned.

The Portofino, to wind back to the past is Ferrari’s popular 2+ GT spyder. It was the spiritual successor to the California and the inspiration for the epic Roma. The Portofino M (short for Modificato, or modified) was globally launched just a couple of months ago, and its already made its way across global markets, the most recent being India where it was launched at Rs 4.04 crores.
