World Ducati Week
Motorcycle Sport & Leisure|January 2023
If you like red Italian bikes, you’ll love the World Ducati Week. It’s three days of pure Ducati heaven.

World Ducati Week

2022 was the first year that the World Ducati Week took place after Covid, with 2018 being the last time that Ducati owners and fans gathered at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, near Rimini in Italy. Normally the event runs every two years, so barring any new pandemics or other catastrophes, the next one will be taking place in 2024.

The name, World Ducati Week, may be a little misleading as it is an event of three days, but those three days are massive: The amount of people, the range of things to see and do, and the sheer size of the operation are impressive.

I began to get the sense of the scale of this gathering while still on my way there: As I crossed the border from Switzerland to Italy, still over 200 miles away, I started to spot groups of Ducati riders heading the same way as me. As I got closer, the number of Ducatis on the roads increased steadily, and once I hit the Adriatic coast near the Misano circuit, there were more Panigales, Monsters, Scramblers and other (mostly) red bikes on the roads than I have ever seen.
